Delta Apparel Announces Dividend Program

DULUTH, Ga., Apr 18, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Delta Apparel, Inc. (AMEX:DLA) announces that, in a meeting held today, its Board of Directors adopted a quarterly dividend program of ten cents per share per quarter.

The Board declared the first dividend in the program of ten cents per common share of stock payable May 24, 2002 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 3, 2002. The Board may terminate or amend the program at any time.
